Overview

This comprehensive course in construction management, is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The program uses the CIOB’s Code of Practice in Project Management to cover the fundamentals of construction project management and the application of best practices.

The course is split into 3 technical modules over 7 months, covering the construction project environment, project development and construction lifecycle, and project delivery. The course will provide participants with a deep understanding of procurement and contracts, risk management, health and safety, and quality requirements. The course also includes a short module on the CIOB and how to become a member or fellow of the institute. Upon completion, participants will have the skills and knowledge to plan, develop, and execute construction projects globally, and the opportunity to join the world’s largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership.

Members gain 10 CIOB CPD points when you reflect on the ethical aspects of your learning from this activity.

Suitability

This programme is for construction professionals, normally qualified to at least first-degree level, or those with experience in the construction sector and need an in-depth understanding of how to manage a construction project. You do not need to be working with international partners or outside of your home country to gain from this course. the best practice tools and techniques taught are applicable wherever you work.

Assessment

At the end of the course, you will take a short assessment to test what you have learnt, and will receive a certificate of attainment upon passing.
