Overview
Well implemented resolution and settlement strategies can go a long way in ensuring prompt, efficient and proper solutions to issues that may be affecting cash flow and the business profit on construction projects. As such, it is essential that you are able to utilise the best practices related to conflict resolution and also mediation, including its benefits as a tried and tested method of resolving issues promptly.
In this course, you will be guided in developing an understanding of common problems and their contractual obligations, and how to appreciate the other parties’ views and opinions. This will lead into looking at creating your own resolution protocols, identifying sustainable solutions to disputes and issues, and how to use a third party.
We will also assess during the course the inter- dependency of all the above points and plan how they can be incorporated into a master strategy to proactively manage the timeous and cost-efficient resolution of disputes.
In summary you will gain a greater understanding of the importance of negotiation and mediation techniques, and the tools to ensure successful negotiations and dispute resolution.
