Description

For International Women’s Day 2021, the CIOB’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Specialist Panel is hosting a webinar to discuss impostor syndrome, what it is, how it can impact on your working life and ways to overcome it. Although impostor syndrome is often seen as something that primarily affects women, the themes covered in the webinar are likely to be of interest to any young professional. All our panellists are construction professionals and will be sharing their experiences of living with and overcoming different aspects of impostor syndrome, while navigating a career in the construction industry.

Chair for the event is Christina Riley – Christina has worked in the construction industry for the last 29 years for Tier 1 contractors, initially in a site management role, and for the last 23 years as Senior Planner.

Speakers include:

Emma is currently a key member of the CIOB’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Panel and is a Board Trustee for both the Women’s Engineering Society and for an Academy Trust in Yorkshire
