£15.00

Description

Tom Butcher leads the Met Office Consultancy team and is responsible for the delivery of a range of projects that help the industry make the best use of today’s weather information and be more resilient to future climate change.
In this presentation he discusses the biggest climate change impacts on the built environment and how applying climate information across the building lifecycle can help improve resilience.
Tom was joined during our question and answer session by Dr Joe Osborne, who is a senior climate consultant at the Met Office and has been working with a range of organisations to help them build climate resilience into their long-term strategies. In particular, he is using the latest UK Climate Projections (UKCP18) to help prepare and adapt for the future.

CIOB Conservation Conference

New ideas for tough times

The theme of this year's annual conference is balancing conservation needs against rising costs. It is ideal for professionals involved in historic or traditional buildings as well as homeowners who are embarking on their own project.

We have drawn together leading experts from the UK and Europe who will give delegates the inside track on how these projects were successfully delivered and how they can apply what was learned to their own decision making.
