Objectives & Assessment

• Understand the role of the commercial manager and their impact upon a Contractor’s performance.
• Recognise the tasks and actions required pre contract, at contract award, during the contract and in dealing with defective works.
• Better identify and manage potential commercial risks, including sub contract management, valuations and dispute management.
• Appreciate good practice and gain an understanding of cash flow issues, cost control methods and valuations.
• Effectively manage claims and their resolution.
