Social Value and Corporate Responsibility in Construction
Overview
The course will begin with a look back at the earliest core objectives and applications within a construction environment, beginning with the housing toolkits and industry skills academies. It will then evolve to current, typical practices and responsibilities within the timeline of social value delivery in a typical construction project. The learner will be able to apply this knowledge within their scope of work and design meaningful, targeted outcomes through social value delivery and align work to the business/department overall social value and CSR objectives.
Given the complexity of tools, KPI’s, measurements, etc the course will provide overviews only of the typical outcomes, aligning commonalities such as apprenticeships, enhancing learning and small business support. It will not provide advice or guidance on tools to use, but guidance on their application.
