Description
What does ‘carbon neutral’ really mean and how can it be achieved? Tom Reynolds from MES Building Solutions and James Wilcox, Head of Sustainability at Willmott Dixon Midlands, will address these key questions in this CPD.
Tom will begin by defining key terms before explaining what approaches are available for organisations to progress down a recognised and certified path to becoming ‘carbon ‘neutral’. He will cover ways to make both new buildings and existing buildings more carbon efficient and the impact that this will have on building specification and design.
James will follow up with practical examples where difference types of low carbon construction have been implemented, both from a design and a construction aspect. He will then explain how Willmott Dixon themselves have approached carbon neutrality.
This learning activity can contribute to your annual CPD return and should be logged accordingly.
