This CPD, delivered in partnership with The Chartered Institute of Wastes Management, focusses on the potential for a career in resources and wastes management in the built environment industry and includes some real insight into the work being done to embed a circular economy into the construction process.
Panellists:
Amanda Williams, Head of Sustainability, CIOB: Amanda is Head of Environmental Sustainability at the Chartered Institute of Building, as well as a Subject Matter Specialist (sustainability) for Ofqual. She is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).
Jane Hall, Director, Green Edge Applications: A Chartered environmental professional with over 20 years’ experience in the field with a strong background in waste management, environmental regulation and compliance. Her company, Green Edge Applications Ltd, specialises in developing environmental digital applications.
Katie Coburn, Senior Director of Policy, Media and Education, CIWM: With over 15 years’ experience in the vocational and technical qualifications sector, she is passionate about improving standards in vocational education and adult skills.
Libby Peake, Senior Fellow and Head of Resource Policy, Green Alliance; an independent think tank focused on ambitious leadership for the environment.
Martin Ballard, Head of Environment, Wates Group: as well as a Board Director at CL:AIRE (a UK charity committed to supporting all those involved in sustainable land reuse) and the chair of the Society for the Environment’s Soils & Stones Project Group. Circular economy is a key focus of his activities across all these roles.
