Description

Construction environments in emerging economies often have challenges which are not seen in developed countries, including carbon intensive, unhealthy and unsafe buildings, different perceptions of safety, urban poverty, and barriers for people with disabilities. However, this often results in pragmatism and ingenuity. This webinar provides an overview of challenges faced by our global panel, but also the role the construction industry and professional bodies can play in providing access to services and education, alleviating poverty and inequality.

Panel:
  • Tobias Vokuhl MCIOB, Senior Project Manager, Ally Global Foundation (Nepal)
  • Wael Azizeldin MCIOB, Contracts and Claims Manager, Orascom Construction (Egypt)
  • Francis Tsibu-Darko, Project Manager, Humane World for Animals (Liberia)
Moderator:
  • Rachael Keeble MCIOB, CIOB Trustee, and Founder of BuiltWell Project Management
