At the start of February 2026, the CIOB is launching a new CPD Policy to align with wider industry standards and best practice. Until these changes are live Members won’t be able to add new activities to their 2026 record and will have until the end of January to complete their 2025 records.

Pilgrims’ Way Primary School – Site Visits

Description
Construction of this new Primary School took place alongside a live school environment which involved careful planning so as not to affect the school’s day-to-day operations. Community engagement was also an important factor. Tom Weedon MCIOB and Guy Scott, both from Morgan Sindall, offer an insight into this new build project enabling viewers to understand the processes used in the build. The project embraces the DfE’s objectives toward net zero carbon, achieved through sustainable design and construction processes, including energy efficiency and less reliance on gas by using air source heat pump technology. This CPD consists of 2 recorded presentations and site visits at different stages of the project, approximately 10 months apart.
