Summary

The Building Safety Act (BSA) has far-reaching implications for everyone in construction. This new legislation has been subject to ongoing evolution and misrepresentation within the built environment forums. It’s critical our industry is exposed to the implications of the BSA and understands their responsibility within the act to manage their business’ and contribute toward the provision of safer residential spaces whilst demonstrating buildings have been built safely. We see how relevant this act is to the improvement of best practice, formalising accountability with a clear line of evidence-based management.

The Cube awareness workshop identifies the core principles of the BSA. Our curriculum takes logical steps through the history, legislation, new bodies, HRB requirements, roles and responsibilities and principal elements of the golden thread of information aligned to Safety-Critical Elements. All content is referenced against PAS, BSI, CIOB and RIBA documentation.
It is critical that this message is extended throughout the industry reinforcing best practice and demonstrating that the BSA is not an unobtainable requirement, more a formalisation of most ongoing working practices. This Act does and should affect everyone in construction. We are eager to share the core principles and demonstrate how embracing these changes will improve project outcomes.

Our aim is to enlighten organisations with the core principles of the Act. Testing existing knowledge and providing simple facts for forward business and construction management. Attendees will leave the workshop empowered with knowledge to apply in their given role. Each attendee will be able to discuss this issue with clients, consultants and supply chain partners, sharing knowledge and cooperating in the true spirit of the Act.
