Summary
The Diploma in Building Safety Management is a 14-month distance learning course designed to enhance the critical skills relevant to building safety management and provide extensive learning material regarding changes to construction industry legislation.
It is more important than ever that management professionals promote openness, transparency, and collaboration with residents to keep buildings safe. This course will provide you with the tools and skills necessary to achieve these goals across six comprehensive units.
Overview
In recent years, the building legislative ecosystem has changed to centre around the Building Safety Manager role, introduced as part of the Building Safety Act 2022.
This act, developed in response to the Grenfell Incident, built environment duty holders and what steps they need to take to ensure the safety of building occupiers.
The Diploma in Building Safety Management course contextualises necessary management skills within the scope of this important act, giving you the skills required to manage day-to-day fire risks, empower structural safety, establish rulesets for residents, and utilise legislation to keep building occupiers safe.
Members gain 10 CIOB CPD points when you reflect on the ethical aspects of your learning from this activity.
