Upon successful completion of the Managing Temporary Works: Successful Completions course, participants will have a complete understanding of all aspects of temporary works. Learning Objectives that guide course content consist of the following:

    – Types of falsework, classification of falsework to BS EN 12812.
    – Top restraining and overloading.
    – Site Set-up, Hoarding, Fencing and Mortar Silos.
    – Trenching and Excavations, Shoring Equipment, Risks of Groundwater and Surges
    – Temporary Foundations for Construction Machinery
    – Types of Scaffolding, BS EN 12811.
    – Edge Protection Systems, Types and Considerations
    – Access Stairs and Loading Bays
    – Safely carrying out structural alterations on existing buildings
    – Ensuring stability of reinforcement cages prior to concreting

    – Sources of further help and information
