Pre Contract Management in Construction
In the near-term the Covid-19 Global Pandemic is likely to be the biggest global crises since the second world war and has demanded changes in behaviour today in the name of reducing suffering tomorrow. The implications for the way in which construction projects are licensed, designed, procured, built and commissioned in both the public and private sector are manifest.
Our online sessions will use the FIDIC suite of contracts to discuss the fundamentals of construction projects, construction contracts, and construction claims and how the COVID-19 Global Pandemic has changed our understanding of project procurement, liabilities, variations, and performance.
The 4 hour course will cover the following topics:
• Project Management
• Limitations of Liability
Each topic will be broken down into a one-hour lecture, with a FIDIC based case study, and a Q&A session.
Attendees on the course will develop an understanding of the licensing risks and design liabilities associated with constructing a built asset. Attendees that complete the course will be able to recommend strategies for the procurement, construction, and commissioning of construction projects in the post Covid-19 new normal.
