COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Building Safety Act 2022 is the most comprehensive and needed piece of legislation that has shaken up the UK built environment in years. It was introduced in response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and it aims to ensure that buildings are safe for those who occupy them, improve the standards within the design, construction and management stages of any project and strengthen accountability & competency within participants of the construction processes.
This course has been developed for those people within the AEC industry who have already recognised the Building Safety Act 2022 as a major shift with current and future implications that will challenge the whole industry, but also to support those who mistakenly still think that the Act does not apply to them.
The module will provide a comprehensive understanding of the Act, with a focus on the essentials, covering its main provisions, including the new regulatory framework, the roles and responsibilities of duty holders, the importance of safety culture within the built environment and the implications for construction professional practices.
By the end of the course, delegates will not only enhance their knowledge to navigate some of the complexities of building safety legislation with further guidance to deepen their expertise but also contribute to a safer built environment for all.
For those seeking a more extensive understanding of practical application of the Act, our Building Safety Act workshop may be more appropriate.
